Brian Harvey

Brian Harvey

Founder of Grainfield. Former Head of Technical Learning and Development for Chubb Global Technology. Based in Philadelphia.

I spent nearly two decades building the programs that get people ready for work that is changing underneath them. Now I do it for organizations of every size, and I run the same AI systems I teach.

Background

An operator first, then an advisor.

Brian started his career at Vanguard, licensed and working with investors managing portfolios of $25 million or more. When he was offered the path to a CFP, he turned it down. He had come to believe the biggest asset in any organization isn't the capital. It's the people.

That conviction took him into executive search in 2008, leading strategic recruitment for global finance and accounting executives, then into in-house recruiting in 2012. After earning his MBA, he moved into talent leadership in 2015, with roles at Chubb, Aramark, and Genesis Healthcare.

As Head of Technical Learning and Development for Chubb Global Technology, he led two consecutive waves of enterprise AI upskilling, the second in direct partnership with Anthropic. He also designed Chubb's Global Software Engineering Skills Academy. At Aramark, he led the East region for the company's first hourly recruiting stand-up across its Food and Facilities businesses, and built its first talent sourcing team.

Why Grainfield

Most organizations aren't starting from zero.

Grainfield grew out of what Brian saw inside the Chubb rollout. Once engineers were working with AI every day, the distance between organizations that knew how to use it and those that didn't was widening fast, and most small businesses were on the wrong side of it. He left to close that gap from both ends.

The name comes from how builders describe a project. In construction, a greenfield site is open land with nothing on it, and a brownfield site is land left over from earlier use, which has to be cleaned up before anything new can go there. Software borrowed both terms: greenfield means building from scratch, and brownfield means building on top of old systems and everything they carry with them.

Grainfield is a third option: a field that's already planted. Most businesses already have customers, people, and real demand. They don't need to start over or dig out from the past. They need what's already growing to produce. Grainfield Solutions does that for enterprise and institutional teams through AI fluency and workforce training. Grainfield.ai does it for owner-led service businesses by running the systems that answer and follow up with every customer.
